Writing Jam (in-person)

A Writing Jam is a two-hour creative gathering — part sanctuary, part spark. It's a space where you can exhale, unclench, and write what’s true. In partnership with Small Town Society, we'll gather to write together. I'll share some simple prompts that open the channel between your inner voice and the page. You’ll write in timed bursts, following what wants to be said rather than what should be written. You don’t need to prepare anything, and you don’t need to call yourself a writer. You only need a notebook, a pen, and the courage to show up.

In every Jam, something happens that can’t happen when you write alone — a collective quickening. As each person writes, shares, or simply listens, we amplify one another’s courage. The words that emerge are raw, real, and alive — often the exact truth someone else in the room needed to hear.
