Teen Writing Jam

Teen Writing Jams are single-session online gatherings where you write alongside other teens. The structure is simple: we arrive, we write, and then we share our pieces with each other.

We begin with a brief grounding practice — a few breaths, a moment to settle, and a clear starting point for the session. Then I offer a prompt, and everyone writes freely for ten minutes. There’s no expectation for polished work; the focus is on whatever shows up when you give yourself time to write.

After each round, you’re invited to read what you wrote. You never have to, but in practice almost everyone does. Not because they’re pushed, but because the room feels solid enough to support it. On the rare days someone chooses not to share, that choice is respected.
